Our region has a strong game-farming community, caring for species native to the Waterberg as well as wildlife indigenous to other parts of South Africa. These farmers play an important role in conserving the animals in their care.

Expert care, at a lower cost.

Through Seringa’s programs, participating farmers gain access to diagnosis and treatment from experienced local veterinarians, alongside visiting international veterinarians from Texas A&M. Program support covers senior local veterinary fees; in many cases, the full cost of participating treatment is covered.

Support depends on the case and program arrangements.

Working with neighboring farms gives students supervised exposure to a wider range of species and genuine veterinary cases. Farmers receive valuable support, students broaden their experience, and Seringa strengthens its ties to the local community.
